I Quit

How to change career?

After years of agonizing over what direction I wanted to take in life I have now finally broken tiles with norm to allow myself opportunities to dip into a world of unknown. As much as I’m excited and feel the sense of freedom I must admit that I’m little anxious about what future might hold. On the other hand, I have words echoing in mind “Give Up to Get On”.

Our Patterns

Human beings are hard-wired to persist and stay in the comfort zone. I have played small being in successful, secure job but have denied living life which resonates with my frequencies. In her wonderful book A Return to Love, author Marianne Williamson puts it this way:

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Our Purpose in Life

Your life is not just about you. It’s also about contributing to others. It’s about living true to your mission and reason for being here on this earth at this time. It’s about adding your piece of the puzzle to the world.

So, I decided to change the direction of my life in 2016 and I’m slowly getting to where I want to be. I have had a year of challenges dealing with health, finding direction and not knowing what to do in order to get me somewhere with my heart’s desires and have found it difficult. Working for someone and settling for ok life has been in my system for a long time. That has been the most difficult thing to do – accept the uncertainty which comes with change.

I also have had to deal with inner demons and still dealing with it. However, I feel liberated in doing so and continue to free myself from the boundaries. In doing so I recognise that I had to go through following certain things.

Things you need to be aware of while you go through change:

  • Stop seeing “quitting” as dirty word
  • Pluck up Courage
  • Recognise your talents
  • Choose your true path
  • And follow your heart

Once you do this it’s easy to follow your truth.

Namaste!
